Brooke Johnson - Well sir, your book was fantabulous.
I enjoyed every word. When I arrived at Mama's house on St. Simon's Island last week ... poof, there sat Dirt Roads and Daydreams. I sat down with your book and read it in one sitting. Tears were rolling down my cheeks while reading about you and your boys with Mickey Mantle. WOW! WOW! WOW! Great Job!

I enjoyed Dirt Roads and Daydreams while on vacation last week. Some of your stories made me smile, others made me laugh, and a couple brought sweet tears to my eyes. I loved the retelling of Lee's trip back to Omaha Beach.

Leah Jennings - I really think anyone will love it ...
I finished THE BOOK, I absolutely loved it. I had to put it down for a few days because I knew I was nearing the end and I wanted it to continue. I am so emotionally involved with it. I really think anyone will love it ... To top it off, it is about adversity and overcoming it. It is about life and how we should be more honest about our peccadilloes.

Debbie Sannutti - Great book - full of memories and encouragement
Dave is a wonderful story-teller. I could actually hear him telling this story. A sweet look back at his life, his struggles and his amazing love and happiness, done so masterfully there were times I was sure I was remembering my own childhood. I love the book and the fact he was so transparent with his sharing. I'm sure this is a book I'll read again and again.

Knowing Dave Brown for over 30 years and reading the book, have both given me renewed encouragement that kindness, support, true friendship and love are still doing well in America. This book not only brings out the personality of a true southern story-teller, but also reminds us of the power of faith and love in overcoming the challenges of life in this dimension. Dave truly gives encouragement in real life, and has now delivered a legacy that many can draw from for years to come. Timely book.

Scott Martin - Heartwarming tale told by a master storyteller
This book is a wonderful collection of stories that define the author's soul. What I found particularly interesting is that his stories are also my stories ... your stories. The names may be different, but there are so many aspects of this book that will touch you and remind you of a time in your life when things were simpler, relationships were overflowing with love and and family meant everything. I know you will find this book, like I did, compelling in its honesty and inspiring in its message. The author is obviously a masterful storyteller and he weaves the tapestry of his life in a way that reminds you of times gone by while also giving inspiration for the character traits that matter most. Thanks for taking the time to share this with the rest of us!
